Robert Ripley (1890 – 1949) was an American cartoonist, entrepreneur and amateur anthropologist, who created the world famous Ripley's Believe It or Not! newspaper panel series, featuring odd 'facts' from around the world. His concept was later turned into a TV series.
The most recent series is hosted by Dean Cain (Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman) and field correspondent, Kelly Packard (Baywatch). Viewers are taken through a world of amazing feats, facts, and artefacts that stretch the limits of imagination. It’s like a ‘Guinness Book of Records’ magazine presented in a television format, showcasing unusual and spectacular inventions, stunts, accidents, records and freak creatures.
The show features regular elements such as "Spot the Not," a weekly trivia segment in which viewers are challenged to pick the claim that isn't real and special "Ripley's Record" commemoration for people who break a World Record while appearing on the show.
No matter what your age, Ripley's will show you things you've never imagined could be true
