The Almighty Johnsons Premieres on SCI FI Sunday Feb 26!

Immortal as, bro!

Imagine waking up one day, it’s your 21st birthday, you’re a New Zealander, and you realise you’re a God.

But enough about Russell Crowe.

That’s also the set up for the new show, The Almighty Johnsons, that’s premiering on the Sci Fi Channel on Sunday February 26 at 630pm.

On his 21st Birthday, Axl Johnson (Emmett Skilton) finds out that he and his family are reincarnated Norse Gods. As he's now Odin, gifted with super-strength, Axl must help his brothers and grandfather restore and control their powers as he tracks down Odin's missing wife, the goddess Frigg.

The Brothers Almighty Johnson.

But it isn’t going to be as easy as Axl thinks, because New Zealand is crawling with Norse deities, and he’s going to run into four particularly antagonistic Goddesses who are determined to find Frigg before the Johnsons do, to prevent the restoration of the boys’ God powers.

Emmett Skilton as Axl Johnson, the reincarnation of the God Odin – struggling to come to grips with his powers.

And if it’s not enough to be thrown into the middle of a battle between Gods, and find yourself the most important and powerful of the lot, Axl’s also got a crush on his flatmate, Gaia (Keisha Castle-Hughes – of Whale Rider fame), who just happens to also have a crush on him – but somehow they just can’t seem to get it together.

Gaia (Keisha Castle-Hughes) and Axl, like, fully surprised, eh, bro.

The Almighty Johnsons really is great Kiwi Norse God fun, and well worth checking out. It’s been a hit over in the Land of the Long White Cloud, and there’s a second series currently being shot, so you can get on board for the long haul.
