Space Nazis To Launch In Berlin

News Saturday, January 28 by Captain
We’re super-psyched to report that our current favourite Nazis-on-the-moon sci fi comedy film, Iron Sky, is finally complete and will be premiering at none other than Germany’s Berlinale on February 11.

Iron Sky will be part of the official selection in the Panorama section of the Berlinale, which screens films that push the envelope with unique vision.

A co-production that includes Australian financing (it was partially shot in Queensland) and financing from every day normal Moon Nazi fans, this is a six year labour of love that stars Udo Kier and Götz Otto.

In case you haven’t heard about this little gem, here’s the premise:

"The battle for Earth is gonna get Nazi…"

“Towards the end of World War II the Nazi scientists made a significant breakthrough in anti-gravity. From a secret base built in the Antarctic, the first Nazi spaceships were launched in late ‘45 to found the military base Schwarze Sonne (Black Sun) on the dark side of the Moon. This base was to build a powerful invasion fleet and return to take over the Earth once the time was right.

“Now it’s 2018, and it’s the time for the first American Moon landing since the 70?s. Meanwhile the Nazi invasion, that has been over 70 years in the making, is on its way, and the world is goose-stepping towards its doom.”

The moon Hindus were furious about the inversion of their sacred moon temple.

Iron Sky is from director Timo Veorensola, who was behind the cult hit 'Star Wreck' films. If you haven’t seen them you should, they’re hilarious, and a must-watch for Star Trek fans.

With Iron Sky, it seems director Veorensola has taken his knack for humour, first-rate CGI and cool design and gone to the next level.

Iron Sky will be rolling out around the world in the months following its Berlin premiere, so be sure to keep your eye out for when it arrives in your neck of the woods.
